About the Author

Alexander Sturgis is a curator at the National Gallery in London. Hollis Clayson has pursued a distinguished career as an art historian over the past 25 years and is an associate professor of art history at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. She has also held teaching posts at the University of Chicago, the University of Illinois at Chicago, Wichita State University, the California Institute of the Arts, and Schiller College in Strasbourg, France.
